The Red dash on the rod is the 20” mark, mostly to identify reds but good to also measure trout above 20”, the silver dash below it is marked for 15”

This beautiful trout was released to Fight again another day. I was fishing by myself from the boat so that’s why I measured her against the cooler And took this shot there. She ate a down South Lures chicken of the sea 5″ supermodel.
Caught 3 over 20 on this date 11/18/2022 all were released. This one is 26 inches.

Caught this stud 11 years ago, my first over 25in trout in Jacksonville on a MirrOLure catch 2000
No ruler but it was 25″ and went 5.12 lbs on tournament scale and at weigh station. Successful release thanks to recirculating pump in livewell!
