# Release Over 20

> A voluntary inshore fisheries conservation movement and 501(c)3 non-profit encouraging anglers to release fish over 20 inches as if it were the law.

## Overview

Release Over 20 (RO20) was founded in 2020 by a concerned angler in South Carolina. The organization operates on an honor system, asking anglers to voluntarily set personal upper slot limits for inshore fish species and release larger fish to protect future populations.

## Mission

Influence anglers to follow personal catch and creel limits more restrictive than the law allows, by using rewards, positive reinforcement, and facts backed by scientific research.

## Vision

Create an improved and sustainable abundance of fish for future generations to catch.
